  6. XPKatana 1.1 is a GUI/ARexx interface provied to XPK users.  It features:
  7.  
  8.  o Complete resizable and font adaptive GUI (no need for any external
  9.    library!)
  10.  
  11.  o Can pack and unpack files using any XPK sub-library installed on your
  12.    system.
  13.  
  14.  o Can unpack files packed with non-XPK packers, using xfdmaster.library.
  15.  
  16.  o AppIcon, allowing easy "drag'n'drop" usage.
  17.  
  18.  o Features a special "Test Mode", allows you to benchmark a given set
  19.    of packers on a selected file, and tell you which one gave the best
  20.    compression ratio (can also output complete results to a file).
  21.  
  22.  o Make use of FileID.library (included) for file type analyzing, helping
  23.    you to decide which packer to use on a given file.
  24.  
  25.  o Complete ARexx port, allowing easy interfacing with other applications,
  26.    providing them with XPK support (DOpus5 and Final Writer example
  27.    scripts are included).

  29.  o Automatic script generation - allows easy batch jobs.

  33.   AmigaDOS 2.04 and up is required, and you also need to have
  34. xpkmaster.library installed, with at least one sub-packer library (XPK
  35. is NOT included - look for the xpk25usr.lha archive).

  37.   XPKatana is Shareware: a fee of 15$ US is required if you're regularly
  38. using this program and you like it - altough it ain't crippled in any way
  39. (I hate crippleware...)
